Valzaar 40mg How To Work

These Tablet is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking the hormone angiotensin thereby relaxing blood vessels, allowing the blood to flow more smoothly and the heart to pump more efficiently.

What Is Valzaar 40mg

Valzaar40mg Tablet is used for Heart problem, Elevated blood pressure, Hypertension, Kidney diseases and other conditions. These Tablet may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Valzaar 40mg How To Take

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. These Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Mechanism Action Of Valzaar 40mg

Valsartan Is An ARB That Selectively Inhibits The Binding Of Angiotensin II To AT1, Which Is Found In Many Tissues Such as Vascular Smooth Muscle And The Adrenal Glands. This Effectively Inhibits The AT1-mediated Vasoconstrictive And aldosterone-secreting Effects Of Angiotensin II And Results In A Decrease In Vascular Resistance And Blood Pressure.

Valzaar 40mg Drug Interactions

Whenever you take more than one medicine, or mix it with certain foods or beverages, you’re at risk of a drug interaction.

Valzaar 40mg Side Effects

• Headache
• Nausea
• Increased blood uric acid
• Decreased potassium level in blood
• Glucose intolerance
• Altered blood lipids.

Warning

Pregnancy – This is not recommended for use in pregnant women due to the increased risk of serious adverse effects on the fetus.

Breast-feeding – This is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women. Your doctor may prescribe an alternative medicine based on your clinical condition.

Hypotension – Symptomatic hypotension may occur in patients with volume depletion or patients who are treated with high doses of diuretics. It is advised to correct the condition before starting These Tablet or to start the treatment at reduced doses.

Hyperkalemia – These Tablet may cause hyperkalemia, a condition with an increase in the potassium levels in the blood. Close monitoring of potassium levels and kidney functions is recommended. This medicine should be used with caution in patients with frequent use of potassium-sparing diuretics or potassium supplements and in patients with impaired kidney function. Any unusual symptoms should be reported to the doctor on priority.

Impaired liver function – These Tablet is not recommended for use in patients with severe liver failure.

Precaution

• Avoid consumption of alcohol as it may worsen the side effects of Valzaar40 mg Tablet.
• Do not drive or operate heavy machinery if Valzaar40mg Tablet causes dizziness or blurred vision.
• Avoid Valzaar 40mg Tablet during pregnancy or breastfeeding because the safe use of the drug is not yet established.
• Be cautious while taking Valzaar 40mg Tablet if you have any kidney or liver impairment.
• Do not exceed the dose more than what is prescribed.
