2. How To Ivecop DT 3mg Work?

Ivermectin works by binding to muscle and nerve cells of worms, causing their paralysis and death.

3. What is Ivecop DT 3mg Tablet?

Ivecop 3Mg Tablet falls under the group of drugs called anthelmintic. It is used to cure cases of strongyloidiasis; which are roundworm infections. It also effectively treats head lice, scabies and river blindness. Ivecop 3Mg Tablet works in the body by killing the developing worms and not the adult ones.

The common side effects that you maybe subject to experience on using Ivecop 3Mg Tablet are vomiting, nausea, reduced appetite, bloating, abdominal pain, tiredness, constipation, drowsiness, lightheadedness, headache chest pain, shakiness. If you are receiving treatment for onchocerciasis (river blindness) then you may have certain reactions for the first four days such as swollen eyes and swollen lymph, eye redness or itchiness, fever. However, if these allergic reactions continue, promptly notify your physician.

Before taking Ivecop 3Mg Tablet discuss with your doctor these pre-existing conditions if any as a precautionary measure. These are:

  • If you are allergic to any ingredient contained within Ivecop 3Mg Tablet.
  • If you are pregnant, are planning to become pregnant anytime soon, or are breastfeeding.
  • If you are taking prescriptive or non-prescriptive drugs, herbal products, or dietary supplements.
  • If you are suffering from more than one parasitic infection at the same time.
  • If you have asthma or a weak immune system.
  • If you are alcoholic.

The dosage of Ivecop 3Mg Tablet will be according to your doctor’s prescription. It will be determined by your age, the severity of your condition, your medical history. The adult dose for curing onchocerciasis is 0.15 orally once in every 12 months and for treating strongyloidiasis 0.2 mg orally once. Those with very severe fungal eye infection may need treatment every 3-6 months. In case of suspected drug overdose seek medical supervision immediately.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Ivecop 3mg Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.

5. Drug interaction of Ivecop DT 3mg

Drugs that interact with Ivermectin tablet include the following:

  • Butalbital
  • Clonazepam
  • Lorazepam
  • Phenobarbital
  • Sodium oxybate
  • Valproic acid

7. Warning of Ivecop DT 3mg tablet

Ivecop 3mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.

Ivecop 3mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.

8. Precaution of Ivecop DT 3mg tablet

Ivermectin lotion should not be used for children under 6 months of age.

 Ivermectin should be taken empty stomach with water.

 Ivermectin tablets should not be given to children under 5 years of age and weight under 15 kg.

Do not take/apply ivermectin and consult your doctor if you are sensitive to ivermectin or any other ingredient to tablet/cream/lotion; or if you have concurrent loa loa infection; suffering from brain problems, bleeding disorder, or asthma.

Avoid using ivermectin if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.

10. Storage of Ivecop DT 3mg

Store medicines at room temperature, away from heat and direct light. Do not freeze medicines unless required by package insert. Keep medicines away from children and pets.
