Glypride 2mg Tablet is an anti-diabetic medication (sulphonylurea). It works by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas in order to lower the blood glucose.
Glycipride 2 MG Tablet is a long-acting oral anti-diabetic which lower the blood sugar level. It is used only in patients diagnosed with Type II Diabetes. It may be used along with Insulin or other medicines in order to achieve better control over the blood sugar levels. This medicine, when taken along with a controlled diet and regular exercise routine, may give better results.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Glypride 2mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
Take Glycipride 2 MG Tablet as directed by your doctor. Follow the instructions mentioned on the label. The medicine should be taken orally with breakfast or the first meal of the day. Adequate amount of water should be consumed while taking this medication.
Glypride 2mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Alcohol intake may increase or decrease the blood sugar lowering action in an unpredictable way.

Your ability to drive may be affected if your blood sugar is low or high. If this happens, do not drive.
Glypride 2mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Monitoring of the breastfed infant's blood glucose is advisable during maternal therapy with Glypride 2mg Tablet.

In case you miss a dose, use it as soon as you notice. If it is close to the time of your next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your dosing schedule. Do not use extra dose to make up for a missed dose. If you are regularly missing doses, consider setting an alarm or asking a family member to remind you. Please consult your doctor to discuss changes in your dosing schedule or a new schedule to make up for missed doses, if you have missed too many doses recently.
Do not use more than prescribed dose. Taking more medication will not improve your symptoms; rather they may cause poisoning or serious side-effects. If you suspect that you or anyone else who may have overdosed of Glypride Tablet, please go to the emergency department of the closest hospital or nursing home. Bring a medicine box, container, or label with you to help doctors with necessary information.

Store medicines at room temperature, away from heat and direct light. Do not freeze medicines unless required by package insert. Keep medicines away from children and pets.
