This Capsule is a long-acting beta blocker that works specifically on the heart. It works by slowing down the heart rate and makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood around the body.

What Is Metolar XR 100mg

This Capsule is used for Hypertension, Cardiac arrhythmias, Elevated blood pressure, High blood pressure, Angina pectoris, Myocardial infarction, Hyperthyroidism, Supraventricular arrhythmia, Heart failure, Migraine attacks and other conditions. This Capsule may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Metolar XR 100mg How To Take

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. This Capsule may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Avoid This Capsule with high-fat meals such as olive oil, nuts & seeds (Brazil nuts), dark chocolate, butter and meat.

Metolar XR 100mg Warning

Taking This with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.

This Capsule may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

This Capsule is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.

This Capsule should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of This Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

This Capsule lowers your blood pressure and makes it easier for your heart to pump blood around your body.

Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes and heart attacks.

It may also be used to reduce the number and severity of angina attacks (chest pain caused by heart disease).

It may cause dizziness. If this happens to you, get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position.

It can hide symptoms of low blood sugar if you’re diabetic. Monitor your blood sugar levels regularly.

Side effects like headache, cold hands or feet, constipation or diarrhea can be experienced with its use. These are usually mild, short-lived and may not be with everyone.
