Lipvas 10mg How To Work

This Tablet is a lipid-lowering medication (statin). It works by blocking an enzyme (HMG-CoA-reductase) that is required in the body to make cholesterol. It thus lowers “bad” cholesterol (LDL), triglycerides and raises “good” cholesterol (HDL).

What Is Lipvas 10mg

This Tablet is used for High cholesterol, Prevention of heart attack, cardiovascular disease, Dyslipidemia, Cholesterol, Prevention of atherosclerotic stroke and other conditions. Lipvas 10mg Tablet may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Lipvas 10mg How To Take

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. This Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Mechanism Action Of Lipvas 10mg

Atorvastatin Blocks The Action Of The Enzyme (HMG-CoA Reductase) That Is Required For The Production Of Cholesterol In The Body. It Thus Lowers The Level Of Blood Lipids Such As Cholesterol And Triglycerides.

• Muscle pain
• Tenderness
• Weakness
• Headache
• Joint pain
• Acid or sour stomach
• Diarrhea
• Excessive air or gas in stomach
• Blood in urine
• Redness of the skin especially on the face and neck

Warning

Pregnancy – This is not recommended for use in women who are or may become pregnant.

Breast-feeding – This is not recommended for use in women who are breastfeeding due to a risk of severe adverse effect to the infant.

Cognitive impairment – This Tablet may cause forgetfulness, memory loss, and confusion in some patients. These symptoms usually disappear gradually once the use of the medicine is discontinued.

Increase in blood sugar levels – This Tablet may cause an increase in the blood glucose levels along with an increase in the Glycated Hemoglobin levels. It is recommended to closely monitor the blood glucose levels. Appropriate dose adjustments may be necessary based on the clinical condition.
