Mechanism Action

This is a competitive inhibitor of the enzyme HMG-CoA reductase, having a mechanism of action similar to that of other statins.

Putative beneficial effects of Crestor 20mg therapy on chronic heart failure may be negated by increases in collagen turnover markers as well as a reduction in plasma coenzyme Q10 levels in patients with chronic heart failure

Precaution

It decreases the risk of heart disease and helps prevent strokes and heart attacks.

It should be taken in addition to regular exercise and low-fat diet to lower levels of fat in the blood.

It should be taken in the evening after dinner and before sleeping.

In general, Crestor 20mg Tablet is safe. However, some people may develop digestive problems like diarrhoea, gas. If any of these happen to you, take it with food.
