Clindac A Gel is a bacteriostatic antibiotic used for the treatment of acne vulgaris. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 12 years of age.
Clindac A Gel contains the active ingredient clindamycin phosphate, which is an antibiotic belonging to the lincomycin group of antibiotics that blocks protein synthesis in the bacteria responsible for causing infection of acne affected skin, and this kills the bacteria.
Propionibacterium acnes are bacteria that normally exist on the skin without causing any problems, living on fatty acids in the sebum (oil) secreted by the sebaceous glands (oil producing glands in hair follicles of the skin). Over production of sebum causes the pores of the skin to become blocked and this is how the pimples, whiteheads and blackheads (comedones) of acne form.
Clogged pores attract bacteria which then overgrow and cause infection. Clindac A Gel gets into the blackheads and blocks the growth of the bacteria, while at the same time reducing the amount of fatty acids that the bacteria live on. These actions of Clindac A Gel reduces bacterial growth that contributes to formation acne skin lesions and prevents the spread of infection.
Clindac A Gel has key component as Clindamycin. Clindac A Gel interferes with the production of proteins by bacteria, thereby restricting the growth of bacteria. It works by ceasing the fatty acids on the skin surface and so kills bacterial growth. Clindac A Gel, a Lincomycin is for topical use only.
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the cream. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.
Although clindamycin phosphate is inactive in vitro, rapid in vitro hydrolysis converts this compound to clindamycin which has antibacterial activity. Clindamycin inhibits bacteria protein synthesis at the ribosomal level by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit and affecting the process of peptide chain initiation.
Clindac A Gel contains the active ingredient Clindamycin, an antibiotic agent useful for the treatment of the number of bacterial infections. “Great and trustworthy Medypharma.com pharmacy. I was sceptical to order from an overseas pharmacy. I was truly impressed with the quality and price of the medications I ordered from strapcart. Shipping was about 2 weeks and free for me. Will definitely order clindac A gel from them again. I have referred a few friends.” – Sylvia Ginger
