Calaptin 80mg Tablet is used to treat high blood pressure and other heart complications. This medicine should be taken along with a proper diet and regular exercise to obtain the best possible result. It is also used in managing chest pain.
Calaptin 80mg Tablet is a calcium channel blocker. It blocks the action of calcium on the heart and blood vessels, thereby widening the blood vessels and allowing more blood and oxygen to reach the heart. This reduces blood pressure and decreases the chances of angina (chest pain).
Calaptin 80mg Tablet is used for Heart disorders, Migraine, Blood pressure, High blood pressure, Cardiac diseases, Hypertension and other conditions. Calaptin 80mg Tablet may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
The dosage and the drug form depend on the age, weight and medical condition of an individual. Take calaptin 80mg Tablet as prescribed by your doctor.
Swallow the tablet whole. Do not crush or chew the tablet. Take the drug with or without food. However, taking the drug with food prevents stomach upset.
If you miss a dose of calaptin 80mg Tablet, please take it immediately once you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.

The dose of the medicine may be adjusted or an alternative medicine may be considered based on the clinical condition.
Hypotension - Calaptin 80mg Tablet may decrease the blood pressure below normal and may cause dizziness. Close monitoring of blood pressure is necessary while receiving this medicine. Avoid using the medicine if you are allergic to Calaptin 80mg Tablet or similar drugs.
Avoid consumption of alcohol as it may worsen the side effects of Calaptin 80mg Tablet.
Do not stop using the medication abruptly unless instructed by the doctor. Discontinuing the medication suddenly may cause the illness to return.
Do not exceed the dose more than what is prescribed.
