Reeshape 120mg Capsule is an antiobesity preparations that helps in reducing the weight of obese patients. Take this medicine with each meal containing fat. Proper diet and exercise are necessary to control weight. Multivitamins are recommended while taking this preparation.
Orlistat belongs to the class of drugs called anti-obesity agents. This drug acts by inhibiting the absorption of dietary fats in the stomach and small intestine. Thus, it prevents the hydrolysis of dietary fats and helps in preventing weight gain.
Reeshape 120mg Capsule helps to prevent the absorption of some of the fats that we eat by the body. Primarily prescribed for weight loss or to keep off the already lost pounds from getting back, Reeshape 120mg Capsule must be coupled with a healthy low calorie diet for optimal benefits. Also, the usage of this drug is restricted to adults only.
Remember that losing weight isn’t exactly encouraged during pregnancy, even if one is overweight to the point of being obese. If you are suffering from conditions such as chronic mal-absorption of nutrients and other gallbladder related issues, then the usage of Reeshape 120mg Capsule is strictly advised against.
Certain conditions can make taking this drug a little tricky; these include an underactive thyroid gland (hypothyroidism), problems of the gallbladder, Diabetes (type 1/tytpe2), pancreatitis, liver disorders, eating disorders or if you’ve been using over-the-counter or prescription medications for weight loss.
Note here that Reeshape 120mg Capsule isn’t recommended for somebody who is still an adolescent. This drug can be a good element of the total treatment program when combined with certain lifestyle changes such as ditching unhealthy foods, sticking to a consistent exercise regimen and effectively controlling weight. The recommended intake of fats, proteins and carbs should be adhered to and medications and diet must be followed rigorously.
The dosage and the drug form depend on the age, weight and medical condition of an individual. Take Orlistat as prescribed by your doctor.
Swallow the capsule whole. Do not crush or chew the capsule. Take Orlistat immediately before a meal or at least one hour after the meal. If you skip a meal or your meal contains no fat, then the dose can be omitted.
If you miss a dose of Orlistat, please take it immediately once you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to compensate for the missed dose.

Pregnancy - This medicine is not recommended for pregnant women.
Breast-feeding - This medicine is not recommended in breastfeeding women.
Gastrointestinal effects - This medicine may increase the gastrointestinal adverse effects if taken with the meal that contains more than 30% total daily calories from fat (more than 67 g of fat).
Impaired kidney function - This medicine may increase the levels of urinary oxalate in patients and may cause nephrolithiasis and oxalate nephropathy with renal failure. It should be used with caution in patients with the history of kidney impairment. Monitoring of kidney function is necessary.
Impaired liver function - This medicine may cause severe liver injury and which sometimes need liver transplantation.Monitoring of liver function parameters is necessary. Any symptoms of dark urine, light-colored stools, decreased appetite should be reported to the doctor.
Avoid using the medicine if you are allergic to Orlistat or similar drugs.
Avoid Orlistat during pregnancy or breastfeeding as the safe use of the drug is not yet established.
Keep the medication out of reach of children.
Do not stop using the medication abruptly unless instructed by the doctor. Stopping the medication suddenly may cause the illness to return.
Do not exceed the dose more than what is prescribed.
You are advised not to take Orlistat if it has passed the expiry date of the medicine printed on the pack.

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember unless it is more than 1 hour after the high-fat meal. Skip the missed dose If it’s almost time for your next dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed dose. Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of an overdose.
