Ziten 20 mg Tablet is an antidiabetic medicine used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes in adult patients. Patients are advised to follow a strict diet and exercise regimen along with this medicine for the best possible effect. This medicine is not recommended for use in children.
Ziten 20mg Tablet is an anti-diabetic medication. It works by increasing the release of insulin from the pancreas and decreasing the hormones that raise blood sugar levels. This reduces the fasting and postmeal sugar levels.
Ziten Tablet is used for Type 2 diabetes mellitus, Type 2 diabetes and other conditions. Ziten Tablet may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
Ziten Tablet contains Teneligliptin as an active ingredient.
Ziten Tablet works by improving the level of insulin in the body.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Ziten 20mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Take Ziten 20 mg Tablet exactly as instructed by the doctor. It can be taken with or without food. Do not take in larger or smaller amounts than advised/prescribed. Consult the doctor if you experience any undesirable side effects. Ensure that the treatment course is completed. Do not stop the use of this medicine without consulting your doctor.

Pregnancy - This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless absolutely necessary. All the risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before taking this medicine.
Breast-feeding - This medicine is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women.
General warnings
QT prolongation - This medicine should be used with caution in patients with a known history of prolonged QT interval due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition.
Severe hepatic impairment - Ziten 20 mg Tablet should be used with extreme caution in patients with a known history of severe hepatic impairment since the safety and efficacy of this medicine have not been established for such patients. Close monitoring of liver function is recommended in these patients.
Heart failure - This medicine should be used with extreme caution in patients with a known history of heart failure (NYHA grade III-IV) since the safety and efficacy of this medicine have not been established for such patients. Close monitoring of heart function is recommended in these patients.
Use in children - This medicine is not recommended for use in children.
Ziten helps to control high blood sugar level and avoid long-term complications of diabetes.
Ziten can be taken with or without food.
Monitor your blood sugar regularly.
Chances of weight gain and low blood sugar are lesser as compared to other diabetes medicines.
Inform your doctor immediately if you have severe stomach pain, nausea, and/or vomiting. These could be symptoms of pancreatitis.
Inform your doctor immediately if you have severe joint pain.
In case you miss a dose, use it as soon as you notice. If it is close to the time of your next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your dosing schedule. Do not use extra dose to make up for a missed dose. If you are regularly missing doses, consider setting an alarm or asking a family member to remind you. Please consult your doctor to discuss changes in your dosing schedule or a new schedule to make up for missed doses, if you have missed too many doses recently.
Do not use more than prescribed dose. Taking more medication will not improve your symptoms; rather they may cause poisoning or serious side-effects. If you suspect that you or anyone else who may have overdosed of Ziten Tablet, please go to the emergency department of the closest hospital or nursing home. Bring a medicine box, container, or label with you to help doctors with necessary information.
Ziten Tablet is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms:
Store medicines at room temperature, away from heat and direct light. Do not freeze medicines unless required by package insert. Keep medicines away from children and pets.
Do not flush medications down the toilet or pour them into drainage unless instructed to do so. Medication discarded in this manner may contaminate the environment. Please consult your pharmacist or doctor for more details on how to safely discard Ziten Tablet.
