Vesigard Tablet is used for Overactive bladder, Problems with urination, Urination related problems and other conditions. Vesigard Tablet may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
Vesigard Tablet contains Darifenacin as an active ingredient.
Vesigard Tablet works by relaxing the bladder muscles.
Cipla manufactures Vesigard Tablet.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Vesigard 7.5mg Tablet ER may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
The dosage of Darifenacin prescribed to each patient will vary. Always follow your physician’s instructions and/or the directions on the prescription drug label.
Darifenacin can be taken with or without food.
If your physician has instructed or directed you to take Darifenacin medication in a regular schedule and you have missed a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the doses unless otherwise directed.
Any medication taken in excess can have serious consequences. If you suspect an overdose of Darifenacin, seek medical attention immediately.
It may be noted that drugs other than those listed above may also interact with Darifenacin.
Usually drug interactions occur when it is taken with another drug or with food. Before you take a medication for a particular ailment, you should inform the health expert about intake of any other medications including non-prescription medications, over-the-counter medicines that may increase the effect of Darifenacin, and dietary supplements like vitamins, minerals and herbal, so that the doctor can warn you of any possible drug interactions.
Darifenacin can interact with other bladder or urinary medications, antifungal medications, antibiotics, and HIV/AIDS medicines.
Do let your doctor know if you smoke, consume alcohol or caffeinated drinks, or use illegal drugs as these may interfere with the action of your medication. Make sure to inform your doctor of any medical conditions you may have, or any family history of medical problems. Do not start or stop using any medicine without consulting your doctor.
Like other medicines, Darifenacin can cause some side effects. If they do occur, the side effects of Darifenacin are most likely to be minor and temporary. However, some may be serious and may require the individual to inform the doctor or visit the nearest hospital immediately.
It is pertinent to note that side effects of Darifenacin cannot be anticipated. If any side effects of Darifenacin develop or change in intensity, the doctor should be informed as soon as possible.

Reduces abnormal contractions of bladder.
Can take up to 4 weeks before you see an improvement in your symptoms.
Helpful in men with urinary symptoms caused by enlarged prostate.
Avoid caffeine, alcohol or carbonated drinks as they can worsen your symptoms.
Side effects are mild and usually include dry mouth and eyes, constipation, difficulty urinating, blurred vision and sleepiness.
Before using Vesigard Tablet, inform your doctor about your current list of medications, over the counter products (e.g. vitamins, herbal supplements, etc.), allergies, pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions (e.g. pregnancy, upcoming surgery, etc.). Some health conditions may make you more susceptible to the side-effects of the drug. Take as directed by your doctor or follow the direction printed on the product insert. Dosage is based on your condition. Tell your doctor if your condition persists or worsens. Important counseling points are listed below.
Do not use more than prescribed dose. Taking more medication will not improve your symptoms; rather they may cause poisoning or serious side-effects. If you suspect that you or anyone else who may have overdosed of Vesigard Tablet, please go to the emergency department of the closest hospital or nursing home. Bring a medicine box, container, or label with you to help doctors with necessary information.
Do not give your medicines to other people even if you know that they have the same condition or it seems that they may have similar conditions. This may lead to overdosage.
In case you miss a dose, use it as soon as you notice. If it is close to the time of your next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your dosing schedule. Do not use extra dose to make up for a missed dose. If you are regularly missing doses, consider setting an alarm or asking a family member to remind you. Please consult your doctor to discuss changes in your dosing schedule or a new schedule to make up for missed doses, if you have missed too many doses recently.

This medication works by relaxing the bladder muscles and by reducing muscle spasms of the urinary tract and bladder. Store medicines at room temperature, away from heat and direct light. Do not freeze medicines unless required by package insert. Keep medicines away from children and pets.
