1. About Vidalista
Vidalista is a medication for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. The active ingredient tadalafil is a PDE-5 enzyme inhibitor, which helps to relax the muscles in the arteries of the penis allowing an increased blood flow resulting in an erection when combined with psychological or physical sexual stimulation.
Vidalista is also used for the treatment of benign enlargement of the prostate.
Tadalafil is available in multiple forms, strengths, and brand names such as Tadalis 20 mg, Tadaga 40 mg, and Forzest 20 mg. Vidalista 20 mg is manufactured by Centurion Laboratories in India.
2. Warnings and Precautions
Before using Vidalista tell your doctor your medical history and inform him/her what medications you take including prescription, over-the-counter, and vitamin and herbal supplements.
Follow your doctor's instruction for using Vidalista. Do not take more Vidalista than is prescribed by your doctor. If you accidently take an overdose of Vidalista, get immediate medical attention.
Do not stop, start or change the dosage of your medications without consulting with your doctor.
Vidalista is a prescription medication to be used by men 18 years of age and older. Vidalista is not intended for use by women, children, and teenage males under 18 years of age.
If you take any medications that contain nitrates do not use Vidalista. If you take alpha blockers or other medications for erectile dysfunction, do not use Vidalista.
Seek immediate medical attention if you experience priapism - a serious medical condition in which an erect penis does not return to its flaccid state. A prolonged erection can cause permanent damage to the penis.
3. Use Vidalista with caution if you suffer from any of these medical conditions:
- cardiovascular disease
- coronary artery disease
- deformed penis
- history of stroke
- leukemia
- life threatening arrhythmia
- multiple myeloma
- recent heart attack
- resting hypertension or hypotension
- retinitis pigmentosa
- sickle cell anemia
- unstable angina
Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how Vidalista affects you.
Vidalista does not protect against HIV/AIDS or other sexually transmitted diseases. Practice safe sex.
Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
Keep away from heat, moisture, and light; store at a temperature between 59-86o F.
4. Drug Interactions
Vidalista may interact with certain drugs such medications to treat:
- HIV/AIDS
- antifungal medications
- high blood pressure medications
- antidepressants
- certain antibiotics
- prostate disorders
- erectile dysfunction
Do not take medications or recreational drugs which contain nitrates while using Vidalista. The combination of the two drugs can be fatal.
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for information about any other medications that could interact with Vidalista.
5. How to use Vidalista
Take a single dose of Vidalista approximately one hour before sexual activity. A single dose may be effective for up to 36 hours. Do not take more than one tablet per day.
One Vidalista tablet should be taken with a full glass of water; it may be taken with or without food.
6. Possible Side Effects
Vidalista may cause serious side effects which include:
- blood clotting disorder
- cerebral hemorrhage
- gastrointestinal hemorrhage
- low white blood cell count
- Seek immediate medical attention if you experience any of the serious side effects.
Tell your doctor as soon as possible if you experience any of the common side effects:
- upset stomach
- stuffy nose
- loss of vision
- loss of hearing
- headache
- flushing
- dizziness
- diarrhea
If you experience side effects that are persistent or worsen seek medical attention.
