Silybon 70 Tablet is used for Improved liver function, Gall bladder disorders, High blood sugar, Alcohol abuse, Jaundice, Menstrual disorders and other conditions. This Tablet may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

This Tablet contains Silymarin as an active ingredient.

This Tablet works by lowering the alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase levels; adjusting the cell transporters thus inhibiting the apoptosis in hepatocytes.

How To Silybon 70mg Work?

Silymarin is an active principle obtained from milk thistle seed (Silybum marianum) . It might protect liver cells from toxic chemicals and drugs. It also seems to have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. Milk thistle plant extract might enhance the effects of estrogen.

What is Silybon 70mg Tablet?

Silybon 70Mg Tablet is used to treat hepatic dysfunction. It can also be used as a supplementary medication for treating chronic inflammatory diseases such as cirrhosis liver toxicity and liver damage.

Side effects that are associated with using this medication are rare. Some very minor allergic reactions include diarrhea, bloated feeling, skin rash and itchiness. However, should you experience any side effect that persists or causes any discomfort contact your health care professional right away.

Before using this medication notify your doctor if; you are allergic to any food medicine or substance, the patient is below 18 years of age, you have any hormonal disorders, you are taking any prescription or non-prescription drugs, you are pregnant or are planning to become pregnant or are nursing a baby.

The dosage for this medication should be ideally prescribed by your supervising physician based on your age, overall medical history and current condition. The usual adult dosage is 140 mg 2-3 times daily.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. This Tablet is to be taken with food.

Precaution of Silybon 70mg tablet

Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs. Make sure to tell about the allergy and what signs you had. This includes telling about rash; hives; itching; shortness of breath; wheezing; cough; swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat; or any other signs.

Do not take antacids that contain aluminum while you are taking the Silybon. This is because antacids decrease the amount of Silybon absorbed by the body.

Notify your doctor if you are breast-feeding.

Silybon should be taken preferably after meals.
