Sildenafil Tab 100Mg

Sildenafil Tab 100Mg

Description

Generic sildenafil citrate comes in preparations of 25mg, 50mg and 100mg. Your first prescription will usually be for 50mg, which is the recommended starting dose. At this dose you and your doctor can monitor your physical reaction to the medicine and address any side effects early on. If 50mg is very effective the dose can be reduced to 25mg..

Uses

Sildenafil contains the active substance sildenafil which belongs to a group of medicines called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE 5) inhibitors. It works by helping to relax the blood vessels in your penis, allowing blood to flow into your penis when you get sexually excited. Sildenafil will only help you to get an erection if you are sexually stimulated. Sildenafil is a treatment for adult men with erectile dysfunction, sometimes known as impotence. This is when a man cannot get, or keep a hard, erect penis suitable for sexual activity.

How it works

Sildenafil belongs to a group of medicines called phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors. It works by relaxing the blood vessels in your penis when you are sexually excited. This allows blood to flow into your penis, allowing you to get an erection in the natural way. Sildenafil will work only if you are sexually excited. Sildenafil will not increase your sex drive.

  • If you have a deformity of your penis or Peyronie’s Disease.

Overdose

In single dose volunteer studies of doses up to 800mg, adverse reactions were similar to those seen at lower doses, but the incidence rates and severities were increased. Doses of 200mg did not result in increased efficacy but the incidence of adverse reactions (headache, flushing, dizziness, dyspepsia, nasal congestion, altered vision) was increased. In cases of overdose, standard supportive measures should be adopted as required. Renal dialysis is not expected to accelerate clearance as sildenafil is highly bound to plasma proteins and not eliminated in the urine.
