How to take it

Side Effects of Sildenafil

With any medication you take, there is always a risk of side effects. Some are more common than others, and often side effects may subside with the regular usage of the medicine. If the side effects do not subside, you should report them to us, or your GP.

  • Headaches
  • Flushing
  • Runny/stuffed nose
  • Upset stomach
  • Nausea
  • Red and/or warm skin
  • Dizziness
  • Diarrhoea
  • Nose-bleeds
  • Muscle pain/Back Pain


Do not exceed the stated dose. Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Sildenafil has vasodilator properties which can result in mild and transient decreases in blood pressure. Please read the leaflet contained in the box before taking this medication. Please advise your doctor or pharmacist if taking any other medication. Sildenafil should not be taken by women.


Keep your medicine in the original container. If you take it out of its original container it may not keep well. Keep your medicine in a cool dry place where the temperature stays below 30°C. Do not store Sildenafil Sandoz or any other medicine in the bathroom or near a sink. Do not leave it on a window sill or in the car. Heat and dampness can destroy some medicines. Keep it where children cannot reach it. A locked cupboard at least one-and-a-half metres above the ground is a good place to store medicines.
