Description

Roxithromycin 150 MG Tablet is a semi-synthetic macrolide antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. It is used to prevent and treat bacterial infection of the lungs, airways, urinary tract and inner layers of the skin.

Missed Dose

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next scheduled dose, then the missed dose can be skipped. Ensure that there is sufficient time gap between two doses.

Overdose

Contact a doctor immediately if an overdose is suspected. You may require immediate medical attention if the symptoms are severe.

General Instructions

Take Roxithromycin 150 MG Tablet as prescribed by the doctor. It is important that the dose is completely taken even after the symptoms have improved. Use of this medicine without a prescription is not recommended.

What it is used for

Adults: Roxithromycin Sandoz is indicated for the treatment of the following types of mild to moderately severe infections caused by or likely to be caused by susceptible microorganisms. Upper respiratory tract infection: acute pharyngitis, tonsilitis and sinusitis. Lower respiratory tract infection: acute bronchitis and acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis; community acquired pneumonia. Skin and skin structure infections. Nongonococcal urethritis. Children: Roxithromycin Sandoz 150mg tablets are indicated for the treatment of the following mild to moderately severe infections in children caused by or likely to be caused by susceptible microorganisms. Acute pharyngitis. Acute tonsilitis. Impetigo. Appropriate culture and sensitivity tests should be performed when necessary to determine organism susceptibility and thus treatment suitability. Therapy with roxithromycin may be inititiated before results of these tests are known; once results become available, appropriate therapy should be continued..

How to take roxithromycin

Take roxithromycin at the same time each day.Roxithromycin is best taken on an empty stomach, about 15 minutes before food. If it makes you feel sick, then take it with food.Keep taking roxithromycin until you finish all the tablets, for as long as your doctor or pharmacist tells you to.Do not stop taking roxithromycin, even if you feel better after a few days, unless your doctor tells you to.If you forget to take roxithromycin, take it as soon as you remember.But, if it is nearly time for your next dose, just take the next dose at the right time. Do not take double the dose.
