Lotensyl 20mg How To Take

The dosage and the drug form depend on the age, weight and medical condition of an individual. Take Lotensyl 20 Tablet as prescribed by your doctor.

Swallow the tablet whole. Do not crush or chew the tablet. Take the drug with or without food. However, taking the drug with food prevents stomach upset.

If you miss a dose of This Tablet, please take it immediately once you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.

Mechanism Action Of Lotensyl 20mg

Lercanidipine Inhibits The Influx Of Extracellular Calcium Across The Myocardial And Vascular Smooth Muscle Cell Membranes The Decrease In Intracellular Calcium Inhibits The Contractile Processes Of The Myocardial Smooth Muscle Cells, Causing Dilation Of The Coronary And Systemic Arteries, Increased Oxygen Delivery To The Myocardial Tissue, Decreased Total Peripheral Resistance, Decreased Systemic Blood Pressure, And Decreased Afterload.

Lotensyl 20mg Warning

Pregnancy – Lotensyl is not recommended for use in pregnant women due to the increased risk of fetal harm. Your doctor may prescribe a safer alternative based on your clinical condition. Breast-feeding – Lotensyl is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary.
