Loceryl Cream How To Work

It contains the active ingredient amorolfine, which is an antifungal medicine used to treat infections caused by fungi, yeasts and moulds.

Amorolfine kills fungi and yeasts by interfering with their cell membranes. It works by stopping fungifrom producing a substance called ergosterol, which is an essential component of fungal cell membranes. The disruption in production of ergosterol disrupts the cell membrane.

The cell membranes of fungi are vital for their survival. They keep unwanted substances from entering the cells and stop the contents of the cells from leaking out. As amorolfine disrupts the cell membranes, it kills the fungal cells and treats the infection.

How To Take

This preparation is for external use only.

Avoid contact with eyes, ears and mucous membranes (eg the inside of the nose and mouth).

Wash your hands after applying the cream, unless the hands are being treated, to avoid spreading the infection to other areas of the body or to other people.

It is important to keep using the cream for three to five days after the symptoms of the infection have cleared up. This is to ensure that the infection is fully treated and thus prevent it coming back. In general, treatment should be continued for at least two to three weeks, but it may take up to six weeks of treatment to clear up athlete’s foot.
