Ipratropium is used to control and prevent symptoms (wheezing and shortness of breath) caused by ongoing lung disease (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease-COPD which includes bronchitis and emphysema). It works by relaxing the muscles around the airways so that they open up and you can breathe more easily. Controlling symptoms of breathing problems can decrease time lost from work or school.

Drug Class and Mechanism

Albuterol/ (Levo) Salbutamol Sulfateand Ipratropium Bromide (Levosalbutamol Sulphate and Ipratropium Bromide) are bronchodilators that relax muscles in the airways and increase air flow to the lungs.

Missed Dose

If you miss a dose of Levosalbutamol Sulphate and Ipratropium Bromide, use it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not use 2 doses at once.

Store Levosalbutamol Sulphate and Ipratropium Bromide Inhaler between 39 and 86 degrees F (4 and 30 degrees C). Keep Levosalbutamol Sulphate and Ipratropium Bromide out of the reach of children and away from pets.
