letrozole pct

Letrozole (femara)

Letrozole is an anti-estrogen of the Aromatase Inhibitor (AI) family and is one of the most potent and powerfully effective of all AI’s. In fact, its potency is sometimes too much for some to handle when used for off label use. Letrozole first gained U.S. FDA approval in 1997 and would hit the market under the brand name Femara through Novartis. Although Femara is the dominating trade name of the AI, unlike most AI’s it is the only one generally known by its chemical name Letrozole far more commonly than its dominating brand name.

Letrozole was first developed in an effort to combat breast cancer in post-menopausal women. In fact, it would prove to be virtually identical to the already popular AI in Arimidex (Anastrozole). While intended for breast cancer treatment, like many AI’s, it has found a welcomed home among anabolic steroid users. Letrozole is one of the most commonly used anti-estrogens among steroid users during steroid use to combat possible estrogenic related side effects. It is so effective as an anti-estrogen in this regard many anabolic steroids have effectively reversed gynecomastia symptoms with Letrozole.

How Letrozole Works

Letrozole is basically an aromatase inhibitor or AI, which means that it prevents the aromatase enzyme from converting androgens or male hormones like testosterone and androstenedione into estrogen. This doesn’t just keep the existing testosterone levels of the body intact, but also helps raise the amount of “free” testosterone while at it.

Letrozole Half-Life

The half-life of Letrozole is approximated at 2 days after administration. However, the blood plasma levels of the users should also be taken into account. Individuals whose blood plasma levels are slower in terms of reaching their peak levels tend to have Letrozole in their system for up to 4 days.

PCT drugs Clomid

Clomid, also called Clomiphene Citrate, is a SERM (selective estrogen receptor modulator), similar as tamoxifen (nolvadex). It is widely medical used for ovulation induction, which is useful for those who are infertile.

Like nolvadex,Clomid woks by stimulating the hypophysis to release more gonadotropins. Gonadotropins are protein hormones that are secreted by gonadotrope cells of the pituitary gland and stimulate faster and higher release of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH). When an increase in gonadotropins happens, the rise in LH will spike up the total testosterone levels allowing the user to artificially maintain high testosterone levels until their own body is able to recover, thus maintaining gains. This is why clomid is popular in post cycle therapy (PCT) among those who cycle anabolic steroids.

Clomid Side Effects

According to seasoned anabolic steroid users, the usual side effects to expect when you use Clomid for PCT include blurred vision and similar visual disturbances, stomach cramps, headaches, nausea, and vomiting. There have also been reports of tenderness around the male breast area when taking this SERM.

STORAGE

Store Clomid at room temperature, between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C). Store away from heat, moisture, and light. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep Clomid out of the reach of children and away from pets.
