Hcg Injection Site

you need to wipe the injection site with an alcohol pad, but be sure it dries before you inject the HCG otherwise it may sting a bit. Open your syringe package and plunge the needle inside of your HCG vial. The amount you take out may be different, but most people will need their HCG injection dose to reach to around the 12.5 to 15 mark on their syringe. Your doctor or pharmacy will let you know how much to fill for each injection if your syringe uses different numbers. 12.5 is the lowest dosage amount you can take on the HCG diet, but if you are feeling very hungry on that dosage you want to talk to your health care professional about taking a different dosage to offset your hunger. If you notice small air bubbles in your syringe, hold it upside down and gently tap the side to get the bubbles to move to the top.

Where to Inject HCG?

If you are using the injectable form of HCG for the HCG diet, you may be wondering where to inject HCG. The HCG injection is typically given subcutaneously; which simply means 'under the skin.' Because these injections are only meant to go just below the surface of the skin into fat tissue, the needles are very short, then, and pliable. Some clinics still use an intramuscular route (directly into the muscle) for the HCG injection, but this is not necessary and can be painful to do several days in a row. These needles are typically much thicker, longer, and not easily bent as they have to go straight into muscle tissue bypassing skin and fat tissue. With subcutaneous injection (the preferred method by most), their is little discomfort if the injection is given correctly and special care is taken to keep the needle point straight to avoid bending.

There are a number of protocols currently favoured in the medical community. One common dosage pattern is a 500 IU HCG injection on days 5 and 6, used concomitantly with a weekly 100 mg testosterone injection on day 7.If you prefer a shorter dosage pattern, as I do, due to the half-life concerns of testosterone and to maintain more stable levels, shots of both can be made every 2nd or 3rd day... Shooting for a combined weekly total of 1000 IU of HCG and 100 mg of testosterone.

  • Always inject into the buttock by dividing the cheek into four areas and injecting only into the upper outer quadrant. The sciatic nerve runs down the middle of the buttock and can become very painful if the injection is too close.
  • If at any point the tip of the needle touches anything it shouldn't, throw it out and start again.
  • If the area around the injection reddens or swells, inform your doctor.
  • Don't shake the vial to mix the medication.

If you receive your HCG through prescription, most pharmacies will premix the HCG powder with bacteriostatic water. After mixing, it can then degrades rather quickly, therefore storage in a refrigerator is extremely important. With optimal refrigerator conditions 3 to 5 degrees C (37 to 41 degrees F), your HCG should last approximately 30 days, before it starts becoming non-therapeutic.
