4. Eflora Cream How To Work
Eflora cream contains Eflornithine hydrochloride. It works by blocking the certain natural substances, which are located in the hair follicle that is needed for hair to grow on the face. Eflornithine hydrochloride prevents the production of ornithine decarboxylase enzyme found in hair follicles deep within the skin by preventing the production of protein in these hair follicles by blocking cell division, thus decreasing the rate of hair production. Eflora cream only reduces the amount of unwanted hair but not remove it completely.
5. What Is Eflora Cream
The Eflora Cream is designed to treat unwanted hair on and around the lips, chin and other areas of your face. It is particularly effective in conditions, such as hirsutism, which is an abnormal overproduction of androgens, or menopause that manifests itself as a natural consequence of aging. Our Eflora cream will help slow down the rate of hair growth in unwanted areas, but this does not mean that it will put an end to hair growth altogether. The cream is designed to reduce facial hair and improve the overall look and appearance of male-to-female transsexuals as well.
6. Eflora Cream How To Take
You should use Eflora cream twice daily, usually morning and evening, at least eight hours apart. It will take 4 to 8 weeks of treatment to see the full benefit of using Eflora cream, so you will need to continue your current procedures for hair removal until then (plucking, shaving).
Apply a thin layer of Eflora cream to the affected areas of the face and under the chin and rub in thoroughly. Wait least 4 hours after application of the cream before you wash your face. Once the cream has been absorbed into the skin and dried, you can apply cosmetics and sunscreen on top. If you stop using Eflora cream for an extended period of time, hair will begin growing back at the same rate and return to the same condition as before treatment.
7. Mechanism Action Of Eflora Cream
Eflornithine is a specific irreversible inhibitor of the enzyme ornithine decarboxylase (ODC). In all mammalian and many non-mammalian cells, decarboxylation of ornithine by ODC is a mandatory step in the production of polyamines (i.e., putrescine, spermine, and spermidine). Polyamines are ubiquitous in living cells and are thought to play important roles in nucleic acid synthesis, cell division and differentiation. In sleeping sickness, eflornithine deprives the trypanosomes of ODC and polyamine synthesis for a prolonged period compared with mammalian cells, leading to cessation of replication and growth of the parasite.
Eflornithine exerts trypanostatic action. Eflornithine is not considered universally effective against the Trypanosoma class of organisms; the drug does not appear to adequately treat sleeping sickness caused by Trypanosoma rhodesiense. Similarly, ODC activity has been detected in Pneumocystis and accounts for eflornithine activity in PCP. The onset of action may take one to two weeks using the IV formulation for trypanosomiasis and PCP.
