4. How To Take Warf 5mg Tablet?

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Warf 5mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Avoid Warf 5mg Tablet with Vitamin K rich food such as spinach, collards, broccoli, spring onions, cucumber and dried basil.

5. Instruction for Warf 5mg

Take Warf 5mg Tablet as advised by the doctor. Do not consume larger quantities than prescribed. This medicine is not recommended in patients with gastrointestinal bleeding, head injury, and low blood platelets level. Patients with liver injury/disease are advised to consult the doctor before taking this medicine.

Close monitoring of prothrombin time is necessary while receiving this medicine.

Tissue Necrosis - Warf 5mg Tablet may cause tissue death within a few days of the treatment. An alternate treatment option should be considered based on the clinical condition.

Calciphylaxis - Warf 5mg Tablet may cause a rare reaction called Calciphylaxis in which calcium is accumulated in small blood vessels of the fat and skin tissues. 9. Precaution of Warf 5mg tablet

For best results, take Warf at the same time every day.

Requires regular blood test (PT-INR), to make sure Warf is working properly.

Warf increases your risk of bleeding. Be careful while shaving, cutting fingernails or toenails, using sharp objects or engaging in contact sports (e.g. football, wrestling).

Notify your doctor if you see blood in your vomit, urine or stool (black, tarry stools or bright red blood).

Interacts with food or other medicines; hence require frequent dose changes.

If you are going to have a surgery or dental treatment, you may be asked to stop taking Warf temporarily.

Warf should not be used in the pregnancy. You may breastfeed.
