2. How To X-Vir 0.5mg Work?

Entecavir belongs to the class of drugs called nucleoside analogues. It works by inhibiting hepatitis B viral polymerase by blocking the reverse transcriptase activity. Thus, it inhibits the synthesis and multiplication of viral DNA.

3. What is X-Vir 0.5mg Tablet?

X Vir 0.5mg Tablet is an antiviral, which is used to treat hepatitis B. It comes as a tablet as well as a solution and is usually taken once a day. Take this medicine at least 2 hours after or before any meal.

Common side effects of X Vir 0.5mg Tablet include nausea, tiredness, Headache, fatigue. Serious side effects on the other hand include lactic acidosis, liver problems, liver enlargement, puffiness or swelling of the eyelids, fat in the liver.

Some rare side effects noticed in people taking this medicine are trouble sleeping and unusual drowsiness. Apart from that allergic reaction to this medicine may cause hives, itching, and rash. Seek immediate medical attention in case you notice any serious symptoms.

Let your doctor know before he prescribes you X Vir 0.5mg Tablet, if you; have a history of liver problems; have HIV infection; have any kidney problems; are pregnant or breastfeeding; are taking any other prescription or non-prescription medicine.

X Vir Tablet may interact with the following drugs and products:

  • Amphotericin B
  • Cyclosporine

5. Side Effects of X-Vir 0.5mg

The following is a list of possible side-effects that may occur from all constituting ingredients of X Vir Tablet. This is not a comprehensive list.   • Do not drive or operate machines
  • Excess lactic acid in blood
  • HIV infection

  • Hiv patients infected with hepatitis b virus

9. Storage of X-Vir 0.5mg

Do not store above 30°C. Keep the bottle in the outer carton in order to protect from light.       

Store medicines at room temperature, away from heat and direct light. Do not freeze medicines unless required by package insert. Keep medicines away from children and pets.
