2. How To Granicip 1mg Work?

Granicip 1mg Tablet DT is an antiemetic (anti-nausea medicine). It inhibits the action of serotonin, a chemical messenger that can trigger nausea and vomiting.

3. What is Granicip 1mg Tablet?

Granicip 1Mg Tablet Dt, a 5-HT3 receptor antagonist, is used for preventing vomiting and nausea caused by cancer chemotherapy. It works by blocking serotonin in the body that can cause vomiting.

Do not use Granicip 1Mg Tablet Dt if you are allergic to it or if you are taking apomorphine. Some medical conditions that may interfere with the action of this medicine are heart problems, blood electrolyte problems, an abnormal electrocardiogram and stomach or bowel problems.

Common side effects of this medicine are anxiety, constipation, trouble sleeping, diarrhoea, headache, dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting and weakness. Some serious side effects include severe allergic reactions, fast or irregular heartbeat, chest pain, fainting, fever, chills, stomach pain or swelling, sore throat, severe or persistent skin irritation and unusual muscle movement.

This drug is taken orally before 24 hours of a surgery or chemotherapy. It can also be taken into a vein as directed by your doctor, usually 30 minutes before cancer chemotherapy or surgery. The drug may be directly administered into a vein in 30 seconds, or it may be mixed with IV fluid and administered into a vein in 5 minutes.

4. How To Take Granicip 1mg Tablet?

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Dissolve it in a glass of water before taking it. Granicip 1mg Tablet DT may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

5. Drug interaction of Granicip 1mg

If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Granicip Tablet may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Granicip Tablet may interact with the following drugs and products:

  • Acetaminophen
  • Dexamethasone
  • Duloxetine
  • Furosemide
  • Lorazepam
  • Ondansetron

6. Side Effects of Granicip 1mg

The following is a list of possible side-effects that may occur from all constituting ingredients of Granicip Tablet. This is not a comprehensive list. 7. Warning of Granicip 1mg Tablet

Before using Granicip Tablet, inform your doctor about your current list of medications, over the counter products (e.g. vitamins, herbal supplements, etc.), allergies, pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions (e.g. pregnancy, upcoming surgery, etc.). Some health conditions may make you more susceptible to the side-effects of the drug. Take as directed by your doctor or follow the direction printed on the product insert.   • Avoid exposure of sunlight to application site of transdermal patch
  • Consult your doctor if you are or planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding
  • Consult your doctor if you have signs of blockage in the intestine
  • Patients wearing transdermal patch should avoid activities such as swimming, exercise requiring great effort, and use of sauna
  • Stop the use of transdermal patch if you develop severe allergic reaction

8. Precaution of Granicip 1mg Tablet

If you have an allergy to granisetron or any other part of this drug. Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs. Make sure to tell about the allergy and what signs you had. This includes telling about rash; hives; itching; shortness of breath; wheezing; cough; swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat; or any other signs.
