5. Warning And Precaution of Qvir Kit tablet

Before taking QVIR, make sure you have told your doctor of any medicines you are currently taking, particularly any other antiretrovirals. If you have received treatment for HIV in the past, make sure your doctor is aware of this treatment. QVIR is classified as Pregnancy Category B. It should only be used during pregnancy if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus. Do not breastfeed while taking QVIR. QVIR should not be used to treat chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV).

6. Qvir Kit Dosage

Atazanavir (Qvir KIT) capsules and Atazanavir (Qvir KIT) (REYATAZ) oral powder must be taken with food.

The recommended oral dosage of Atazanavir (Qvir KIT) depends on the treatment history of the patient and the use of other coadministered drugs. When coadministered with H2-receptor antagonists or proton-pump inhibitors, dose separation may be required.

Atazanavir (Qvir KIT) capsules without ritonavir are not recommended for treatment-experienced adult or pediatric patients with prior virologic failure.

Atazanavir (Qvir KIT) (REYATAZ) oral powder must be taken with ritonavir and is not recommended for use in children who weigh less than 5 kg.

Efficacy and safety of Atazanavir (Qvir KIT) with ritonavir when ritonavir is administered in doses greater than 100 mg once daily have not been established. The use of higher ritonavir doses may alter the safety profile of Atazanavir (Qvir KIT) (cardiac effects, hyperbilirubinemia) and, therefore, is not recommended.
