3. What is Cyclomune 0.05% Eye Drops?

Cyclomune Eye Drops containing the active ingredient cyclosporine and is considered an immunomodulator type of medication. It is used to treat certain types of eye conditions such as keratoconjunctivitis sicca. It works by reducing inflammation in the eyes to allow for additional tears production.

Don’t use this medication if; you are allergic to any ingredient contained within Cyclomune 0.05% Eye Drop, you are receiving radiation or ultraviolet therapy. Before using this medication tell your doctor if; you are allergic to any food/medicine/substance, you are taking any medications, you have seizures/cancer/ high blood pressure/weak immune system, you have kidney/nerve/brain disorders, you are pregnant or are breastfeeding a baby.

4. How To Take Cyclomune 0.05% Eye Drops?

Cyclomune Eye Drops should be applied to the affected eyes twice per day, evenly spaced 12 hours apart, or as directed by a doctor.

Contact a doctor for the correct dosage and length of treatment as it will depend on the patients condition and their response to the medication. Prior to applying the medication, turn the vial upside down a few times to obtain a uniformly white mixture in the bottle.

To apply medication, tilt the head back slightly and pull down on the lower eyelid. Position the dropper above the eye, look away from the dropper and squeeze out a drop before closing your eye for 2 to 3 minutes.

Press down on the tear duct and apply gentle pressure to prevent any leakage of medication. Repeat the process if necessary.

Drugs that interact with Cyclosporine include the following:

6. Side Effects of Cyclomune 0.05%

7. Warning of Cyclomune 0.05% Eye Drops

Always discard the vial after one use and never reuse the dropper.

Immediately proceed to your nearest emergency department if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms usually associated with such a reaction include difficulty breathing or swallowing, chest tightness, swelling, skin rashes, and hives.

Cyclomune Eye Drop is not always suitable for all patients. Always consult your health care provider prior to using this medication if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, trying to conceive, using any other medication (prescription or non-prescription), using any herbal products or supplements, or if you have any allergies or other health problems.

The correct dosage and prescription commonly depend on the patient and the condition being treated. Do not adjust your dosage without the approval of your health care provider. This product is only for use as prescribed and instructed.

8. Precaution of Cyclomune 0.05% Eye Dropss

Your doctor has prescribed Cyclomune to relieve inflammation (redness and swelling) in dry eye disease.

Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute, immediately after instilling the drop so that the medicine does not drain away from the eye.

When applying multiple eye medications, wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution.

Take care to prevent contact of eye dispenser with eye, eyelid, eyelashes, or finger to avoid infection. You may experience a stinging sensation for 1-2 mins after instilling Cyclomune.

Notify your doctor if it persists for longer. Make sure to use within 4 weeks of opening the bottle.

9. Uses of Cyclomune 0.05%

Cyclomune 0.05% Eye Drop is used in the treatment of dry eyes. It is usually used despite treatment with artificial tears.

10. Storage of Cyclomune 0.05%

Cyclomune-0.05% Eye Drops emulsion can be kept in cool and dry place. Try to store it away from heat and moisture, and make sure your children are not accessing it.
