Careprost Eye Drops is used for Lengthening eyelashes, Glaucoma, Ocular hypertension and other conditions. Careprost Eye Drops may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
Careprost Eye Drops contains Bimatoprost as an active ingredient.
Careprost Eye Drops works by increasing flow of fluids out of eye and decreasing pressure.
2. Careprost Eye Drops Uses
Careprost Eye Drops is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms:
- Lengthening eyelashes
- Ocular hypertension
3. Side Effects due to Careprost (Bimatoprost) Opthalmic
A common side effect of Careprost (Bimatoprost) Opthalmic solution is itching sensation in the eyes. Other side effects include redness, discomfort, dryness of the eye or redness of the eyelid. It is possible for hair growth to occur in areas where it is not intended (areas around the eye exposed to the medication frequently). Ensure that you remove any excess medication from around the eyelashes. When Careprost (Bimatoprost) is used for glaucoma that is when it is applied directly into the eye, it may gradually (slowly) cause brown discoloration of the colored part of the eye (iris). This effect is not observed when used for hypotrichosis of the eyelashes.
The side effects listed above are not the only ones due to Careprost (Bimatoprost). There may be others. Stop using this medication and seek medical attention right away if you experience any serious side effects.

Before using Careprost Eye Drops, inform your doctor about your current list of medications, over the counter products (e.g. vitamins, herbal supplements, etc.), allergies, pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions (e.g. pregnancy, upcoming surgery, etc.).
