Dosage

Bone Marrow Suppression - Albendazole Tablet may alter the functionality of bone marrow resulting in a decreased count of white blood cells. Therapy should be discontinued if any such abnormalities are observed.

Liver Diseases - This medicine should be used with caution in patients with liver diseases since it may increase the levels of the liver enzymes. Close monitoring of liver enzyme levels is recommended for such patients. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.

Effects on Brain - Albendazole Tablet may cause neurological effects such as dizziness, fits, etc. when the medicine is used to treat Neurocysticercosis. It is advised that you do not perform any activities that require high mental alertness such as driving a vehicle or operating machinery during treatment with this medicine. Your doctor may prescribe other medicines along with Albendazole 400 MG Tablet to minimize its neurological effects, based on your clinical condition.

Retinal Damage - This medicine should be used with caution in patients with a history of eye diseases such as retinal lesions due to the increased risk of retinal damage. It is advised that you inform the doctor about all your medical conditions before beginning treatment with this medicine.
