A Ret HC Cream is a combination medicine used for the treatment of patients with skin hyperpigmentation. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 12 years of age.
A Ret HC Cream is a combination of three medicines: Hydrocortisone Topical, Hydroquinone and Tretinoin Topical which treat melasma (dark spots on skin). Hydrocortisone Topical is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Hydroquinone is a skin lightening medicine. It reduces the amount of a skin pigment (melanin) that causes darkening of skin. Tretinoin Topical is a form of vitamin A that helps the skin to renew itself more quickly.
A Ret HC Cream is used for Acne, Melasma, Acne vulgaris, Rashes, Skin trauma, Bloating, Age spots, Inflammation of the retina, Skin, Skin diseases and other conditions. A Ret HC Cream may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
A Ret HC Cream contains Hydrocortisone Topical, Hydroquinone Topical and Tretinoin Topical as active ingredients.
A Ret HC Cream works by providing temporary relief from itching associated with minor skin irritations, inflammation and rashes; increasing the turnover of follicular epithelial cells; inhibiting the enzyme tyrosinase.
A Ret HC Cream is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the cream. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.

A Ret HC Cream (Hydroquinone/Tretinoin/Hydrocortisone Acetate) is a triple combination skin lightening cream used to treat hyperpigmentation on the skin. Its mechanism of action is reducing the amount of pigments such as melanin.
Whenever you take more than one medicine, or mix it with certain foods or beverages, you're at risk of a drug interaction.
Use on skin - A Ret HC Cream is recommended for use only on the skin. Do not apply this cream in your eyes; on your eyelids, lips, mouth, vagina, or the corners of your nose.
Use in children - The safety and efficacy of this medicine have not been clinically established in children less than 12 years of age.
Skin sensitivity test - It is advised to take a sensitivity test to rule out the possibility of an allergic reaction before starting the regular use of this medicine.
Sun exposure - Use of A Ret HC Cream may cause adverse reactions of the skin on sun exposure. You are advised to take appropriate precautionary measures while stepping out into sunlight during treatment with this medicine.
Other medicines - A Ret HC Cream may potentially interact with a large number of other medicines and may cause serious adverse effects. It is advised that you report all your current medicines to the doctor including any herbs and supplements before beginning treatment with this medicine.
Delayed wound healing - Use of A Ret HC Cream may delay the process of wound healing. Your doctor may determine the best course of treatment in such cases based on your clinical condition.
A Ret HC Cream topical is contraindicated for use during pregnancy and in children 12 years of age or younger.
Patients should be tested for skin sensitivity prior to initiating treatment with Hydroquinone (A RET-HC) topical. A small amount of the drug should be applied to an unbroken area of skin and the test area should be examined after 24 hours. If excessive inflammation is present, the manufacturer recommends against the use of the drug. Minor redness is not a contraindication.
Avoid contact with the eyes.
A Ret HC Cream topical is a skin bleaching agent and may produce unwanted cosmetic effects.
Sun exposure should be avoided on bleached skin by applying a sunscreen or by the use of protective clothing.
The drug should be discontinued if no bleaching or lightening effect is visible after 2 months of treatment.
