2. How To 9 PM Eye Drop Work?

9 PM 0.005% Eye Drop is a prostaglandin analogue. It works by increasing the natural flow of fluid from the eye, thereby lowering pressure in the eye. Latanoprost belongs to the class of drugs called prostaglandin analogues. It works by increasing the outflow of aqueous humour. This aids in controlling the progression of glaucoma or ocular hypertension.

3. What is 9 PM Eye Drop?

9 Pm 0.005% Eye Drop is a drop used for treating ocular hypertension and open-angle glaucoma. These drops are a prostaglandin analog. This medicine regulates the fluid drainage from the eye. This lowers increased pressure in the eye which further prevents blindness.

On using 9 Pm 0.005% Eye Drop you may experience side effects such as itchiness, dry eyes, skin darkening, joint pain, cough, chest pain, swelling, difficulty in breathing, wheezing, eye redness and stinging. 9 Pm 0.005% Eye Drop has a tendency of causing discoloration of the iris. Seek medical attention if you face any allergic reaction that causes discomfort.

Before using 9 Pm 0.005% Eye Drop notify your doctor if; you are allergic to any ingredient contained within 9 Pm 0.005% Eye Drop, you have any other allergies, you have any infection/swelling/injury of the eyes, you are already taking medications, you have a history of inflammation, herpes, you are scheduled for an eye surgery, you have other types of glaucoma, you are pregnant or are planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding a baby.

Ideally the dosage should be determined by your doctor based on your condition. The usual dose is about 0.005% or one drop into each infected eye.

4. How To Take 9 PM Eye Drop?

This medicine is for external use only.Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye/ear without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid or ear. Wipe off extra liquid.

6. Warning of 9 PM Eye Drop

To reduce the amount of 9 PM 0.005% Eye Drop that reaches the breastmilk, place pressure over the corner of the eye for 1 minute or more, then remove the excess solution with an absorbent tissue.

9 PM 0.005% Eye Drop may cause blurring of your vision for a short time just after its use. Do not drive until your vision is clear.

7. Precaution of 9 PM Eye Drop

9 pm helps lower high pressure in the eye and reduces the risk of vision loss. For best results, put one drop once a day in the evening/night in the affected eye(s).

Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute, immediately after instilling the drop.

9 pm may cause brown pigmentation of the iris which may be permanent.

Your eyelashes may become more dense and eyelid skin may darken. These changes should disappear after discontinuing 9 pm.

Store an unopened bottle in a refrigerator (2-8 degree Celsius). Once opened, the bottle may be stored at room temperature upto 25 degree Celsius for upto 6 weeks.

Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution.

9 PM 0.005% Eye Drop is used in the treatment of glaucoma and ocular hypertension.

9. Storage of 9 PM Eye Drop

Keep out of the reach and sight of children.

Do not use Latanoprost after the expiry date which is stated on the carton and bottle.

The expiry date refers to the last day of that month. Store the unopened bottle in a refrigerator (between 2°C and 8°C), protected from light.

After opening the bottle it is not necessary to store the bottle in a refrigerator but do not store it above 25°C. Use within 4 weeks of opening.

When you are not using Latanoprost, keep the bottle in the outer carton, in order to protect it from light.

Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. These measures will help to protect the environment.
